A Proven Solution to Corrosion and Tube Failure

When corrosion threatens heat exchanger performance, full-length alloy tube liners provide a reliable, in-situ repair solution. Curran International installs and hydraulically expands these liners, creating a tube-in-tube barrier that restores corrosion resistance and maintains full thermal capacity. Unlike tube plugging, full-length liners keep the target tubes in operation, reducing the risk of future tube failures and lost exchanger efficiency.

In-Situ Installation for Minimal Downtime

Curran’s portable hydraulic pumps and tooling allow crews to install full-length tube liners directly in the field—from air cooler catwalks to exchanger scaffold decks. Once positioned, liners are expanded, cut, trimmed, and mechanically roller-expanded to achieve intimate contact with the existing tube.

Precision Fit and Material Selection

Full-length liners are carefully sized for each exchanger tube. Curran works with domestic and European steel mills to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing. Common alloys include:

  • C276
  • 825
  • Stainless Steel
  • Admiralty Brass
  • CuNi

Liners are available in wall thicknesses from 0.022” to 0.049”, including seamless and welded materials to meet client specifications.

Single-Contractor Turnkey Service

Curran also provides tube-ID cleaning as part of a turnkey installation package. Using proprietary dry grit cleaning, tubes are prepared for inspection and liner installation, ensuring superior cleanliness and high-integrity inspection data prior to repair.
