Curran International’s R&D team is pushing coating technology into new territory with breakthrough ultra-thin, high-performance materials designed for real-world plant conditions.
These advanced coatings are:
- Anti-fouling — helping keep surfaces clean longer
- Highly repellent — resisting buildup and contamination
- Ultra-thin — maintaining performance without adding bulk
The Science Behind the Innovation
Our development program has focused on hybrid and inorganic materials, including ceramics, silicones, and sol-gels. Testing shows they deliver:
- Thermal stability at extreme temperatures
- Low surface tension for better repellency
- Durability in challenging immersion environments
Proven in Lab & Field
We’ve developed repeatable application procedures for complex geometries—everything from heat exchanger tube IDs and ODs to plate-and-frame exchangers and tower-packing elements.
After evaluating many options, a select few coating formulations emerged as top performers. Each has passed:
- Adhesion pull tests
- Extreme thermal stability trials
- Atlas cell immersion tests

Be Part of the Next Step
We’re inviting clients with heat exchanger fouling or corrosion challenges to participate in demonstration programs and test trials of these coatings.
Let’s work together to see how these materials perform in your toughest environments.
